GENERAL SHOW INFORMATION

  • Cash prizes to be awarded.
  • All alpacas are required to be registered with the ARI.
  • Show registration must include current microchip number.
  • Alpacas must be 6 months (or 180 days) of age by the date of the event.
  • Entries should be made in the name of the registered owner but may be shown by any handler or agent.
  • This is a full fleece show, no shorn classes. Fleece length minimum 4 inches for both Suri and Huacaya. Measurement may be a stretched staple.

Health Regulations

All alpacas must have a current CVI (within 30 days) with microchip number to enter Colorado. Out-of-State Entries must have Ivermectin 30 days prior to entry into Colorado.

Vet Check-In

Color Designations

Determined by past show entry or by individual owners. Judges may make final designation for consistency of class make-up. A color checker will be available at the show for those who want to voluntarily have the color of their animal(s) checked. THIS IS RECOMMENDED FOR FIRST TIME EXHIBITORS OR FIRST TIME ALPACAS AT A SHOW WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN COLOR CHECKED.

Division Designations

For entry Divisions A, B, C will be determined by owners but may require confirmation if challenged by another exhibitor/owner. Division explanations are here.

CANCELLATIONS AND SUBSTITUTIONS: $25 fee per animal.

CHANGES in Division designations (A to B to C or B to C) due to recent show wins may be completed prior to or at check-in when the additional fees are paid; no late fees apply.

Confirmed acceptance of registration will be date payment is received. Payment may be made by Visa, Mastercard or Discover via online registration or check by mail.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

PROMOTE YOUR FARM / RANCH business through sponsorships or donating to our silent auction, our Saturday FUN NIGHT Live Auction, or to the AWARDS for Specific Color Huacaya or Suri Class Divisions. Please contact Nancy Walker or Kathleen Cullen. LIVE FUN Auction items may inlclude a free breeding to your fabulous herdsire, a week at your time share property, Bed & Breakfast visit to your farm, fishing trip, or a special golf outing on your favorite course.

SILENT AUCTION items may include a selection related to alpaca care (birthing kit, for example), alpaca luxury or handmade products (sofa throw, woven rugs, etc.), gifts (stoneware with alpaca motifs, embroidered towel sets, etc.) or any services you offer (web page design, marketing services), etc.

Promote your Herd with a picture taken with the Winners, when you Sponsor that Division. Have your Herd Name on Tags for the Wine Bottles on every table. Sponsor the VET Check and have your Farm Name on every Check-In paper for all Exhibitors. Please contact one of the above coordinators for more information to get a jump start and beat the crowd!
