SHOW CHECK-IN AND VET CHECK

CONCIERGE CHECK-IN

Concierge check-in will be available for all Sponsors, Donors, and Charter Members to facilitate the VET CHECK, UnLoad and Stall, Color Check (if necessary) and Show Class Check-In. Special Cards will be mailed to all who qualify for Concierge Check-In Services.

PAPERWORK REQUIRED

Copies of ARI certificates and certificates of veterinary inspection (CVI) must accompany the animals to the show. CVI should have negative BVD PCR or VI results listed for each alpaca and signed by a licensed veterinarian. Microchip numbers should be listed on the CVI and the ARI certificates (handwritten in is fine). CVIs should be done within 30 days of NAS check-in. Vet check will occur in your trailers outside of the Expo Center when you arrive and will include:

  • A microchip match between the alpaca and the ARI and CVI.
  • BVD PCR or VI verification (may be on CVI if signed by a licensed veterinarian).
  • Ivermectin given within 21 days.

Any animal showing outward signs of illnes, i.e. runny nose, diarrhea, etc., will not be permitted to enter the show and will be quarantined.

COLOR CHECK

Division A Color Groups (7):

  • White
  • Beige
  • Fawn
  • Brown
  • Black
  • Gray
  • Multi

Division B, C, D Color Groups (3):

  • White
  • Light
    Bge, LF, MF, LSG, LRG, Light Multi and possibly MF, MSG and MRG, depending upon the Judges decisions for the make-up of the group
  • Dark
    DF, Browns, Blacks, DSG, DRG, Dark Multi

Color check will be voluntary, and we will not have a formal color check. You may use recent previous shows as your guide for registering the color of your animal(s) for class selection. A color checker will be available for anyone who wants to verify the color of their animal AND THIS IS RECOMMENDED FOR FIRST TIME SHOW ANIMALS OR FOR ANY EXHIBITORS WHO ARE UNCERTAIN ABOUT THE CORRECT COLOR OF THEIR ANIMAL.

COLOR CHECK REQUIRED for DIVISIOIN (B) and (C) Grays and Multis

Judges may make the final designation for consistency of class make-up.
